Remove the 10-expense daily limit from the free plan#32

Hi team,

First of all, thank you for implementing user suggestions so quickly — it’s genuinely encouraging to see a development team that listens and acts.

I used the app today for a day trip with friends (using virtual users for this one) and everything worked exactly as expected. That said, I did run into one limitation that I think deserves some attention: the 10-expense-per-day cap on the free plan.

For context, the main reason I stopped using Splitwise was precisely this kind of friction — hitting a paywall mid-session and being forced to watch ads just to keep adding expenses. I always found that experience really frustrating.

I completely understand the need to keep certain features exclusive to premium users — advanced statistics, CSV import/export, Google Pay integration, and so on all seem like fair incentives to upgrade. But limiting the number of expenses on the free plan feels like it cuts into the core functionality that makes the app useful in the first place, and I think 10 per day will be a dealbreaker for most users.

I’ll be honest: I’m actively trying to get my friends to switch from Splitwise, which they currently use and I personally dislike. If this limit stays, it’s hard to make the case that our app is the better option. Remove it, and I genuinely think we’d become everyone’s go-to for trips and group outings.

I’d also like to say that I really appreciate the decision to keep the app ad-free — that alone sets it apart. And if after a few more outings I’m convinced this is the definitive expense-splitting app, I’d have no hesitation going for a lifetime premium plan.
