New user here. If I invite people in a group, will they be able to see how much other people owed too or will they just see their own share?

Everyone in a group sees everyone’s balances

ShareCost is a shared-ledger app. When you invite people into a group, every member sees every other member’s position — not just their own share. Concretely, an invited member will see:

• All balances — who owes money, who gets money back, and how much, for every member (including debts between two other people that don’t involve them).
• The full settlement plan — the “who should pay whom” suggestions across the whole group.
• Each expense’s full split — open any expense and you see every participant’s individual share, not just your own line.

The only thing scoped to “you” is which settlements you can act on (tap “Settle”) — you can’t mark someone else’s debt as paid. But you can still see it.
